PAT BUTTRAM

Twenty-five years ago, veteran sidekick Pat Buttram conceived the notion for a special award to be given not only to our cowboy stars, but also to the writers, directors, character actors and stunt people who have contributed so much to the development and preservation of the western tradition in film and television.
From Pat's first presentation to Bob Steele of a fancy belt buckle embellished with a golden boot, the idea has grown into the gala we celebrate every year The Golden Boot Awards. Each year the event raises thousands of dollars for the Motion Picture and Television Fund (MPTF).
